Rosalind Davis was commissioned by Daisy Green Food to create a garden for both the interior and exterior of their newest site in the Brunel Building Paddington, on the Canalside in Paddington. The project in more detail was to design, source and installation of planting for inside and outside of Bondi Green, including furniture, wind protection screens and pots for a significant amount of space. Davis layered plants into either one exquisite pot / planter to reveal mini gardens within each one.
As an artist and a curator this has been a way for Rosalind to create a public artwork and an extension of her practice; thinking about curating plants, considering colour, scale, form, pattern, texture as well as the site itself to create a Bondi inspired tropical garden.
Justin Hibbs designed a bespoke set of planters for the sites as well as also being commissioned for artworks and design within the building including a Mexican inspired steel window grid installation with tropical Miami dusk fauna and otherwordly plant photographic installation.
The building was designed by Arup Architects and Derwent.
